How come The Vegan Forum and VRF have ...
... such loyal members? It seems their members don't post here and VRF'ers don't post there. I've also noticed they get more traffic then VRF. I wonder why? Both boards are basically the same and talk about the same things, no?
And, VRF has an advantage, VRF now has a chatroom (that no-one uses). |

well, I'm in the chat now
Seems kind of early on for it to have fallen into disuse. I still prefer irc though.

In the begiining there was one almighty and powerful vegan message board and that was (aptly named) the Vegan Message Board or VMB. VRF rose from it's ashes. Since then there have been others as you are finding out. I don't post elsewhere just cause i have hard enough time here keeping up!

I'm here because I like the people here. I can only waste (rather should only waste) so much time a day hanging on message boards. So, joining another, would just eat up more time. Plus the others are gigantic and too hard to follow. I also know there are some smart peeps here, so if you need a recipe or have something to ask, you're likely to get a good response, as opposed to 40 dumb responses.

VRF for life, yo.
Oh, and what Dandy and grog said about not having the time to be all active on other boards and stuff.

There are other boards? Eh, this was the first vegan forum I found (other than the smaller and much less active "Go Vegan" forum at Tribe.net). I liked it here right away. I still like it here, and here I stay. I have time for only one.

I checked out the vegan forum, but I like VRF much, much better. There was a little too much hostility and other posts over there that turned me off. Anyways, I've never met vegans cooler than the ones here. I'll be staying here for good from now on.

What do y'all think about VegPeople.com ??..... I am most unfamiliar with it in terms of participating there, but I will sign up oneday and integrate a bit As for the other boards.... I don't know, whatever....they seem okay to me and not cliquey. I think cliqueyness is all a myth anyway most of the time.
