Here in good ole Oregon, the weather people keep saying it could snow ANY TIME. But it hasn't. False warnings for TWO WEEKS. I'm gettin' jaded. It's just real cold. (too cold for Oregon, imho) Today it was clear and beautiful, tho.

It's rather chilly here, with fog. Yesterday morning was frosty. We haven't had snow yet but other parts of the country have. It's better than the sweaty, humid heat of Summer.

We got our 10 feet (actually more like 1-5 feet, depending on elevation) last week and weekend. Now it's just nasty-cold - teens and twenties below zero degrees F for low temps - highs a little above zippo F. It's supposed to warm up over the weekend though, with lows around zero and highs around +30F (normal for this time of year).

The stores have run out of milk, bread and eggs. Everything's cancelled for tomorrow. Must mean it's time for our first two inches of snow.

It nearly snowed in Chico, too. It was like 70 degrees, incredibly sunny with a bright blue sky. It was too hot to wear a sweatshirt while biking. It reminded me of early September...
Other than that, it nearly snowed!

We just got in from shoveling (the joys of a house apt) and taking the critters out for some play. Pigeon ferret was tunneling, it was so cute. It's the first time i actually heard snow, or maybe the first time i noticed it. By the time i shoveled the walk i had to go back and do it again!
Now we have dinner on the stove and hot cider in our mugs, ohhhh yeah. |

I keep hearing about all this snow! Not too much going on up here. We got some snow last week, but it's mostly just been *cold*. Maybe you can all take a nice deep breath and blow a little bit of it my way? I'm feeling kinda sad that I haven't seen any really nice snowglobe type snow yet...

Shoveling snow at 10pm in Chicago?
Sounds like fun.

Doesn't the snow know I can't go to bed without seeing snowflakes? C'mon!

it's been snowing here for several hours, but the plows haven't gone through yet. on the way to dinner and on the way back home, the roads were slip-o-riffic.
